The SRJC Scholarship Programs Department is available to assist SRJC students with their search for scholarships. Our knowledgeable staff will give you direction on how to search and apply for local, state, and nationwide scholarship programs. Every Spring we offer informative Scholarship workshops to review our programs in detail and assist you in completing applications. Scholarship Forms and Documents are also available online to assist you when applying for scholarships.

When you are awarded a scholarship through the SRJC Scholarship Office, we will verify your enrollment and other program requirements with the SRJC Admissions Office. Any funds due to SRJC will be deducted from your scholarship award.

The SRJC Scholarship Office receives information about scholarship opportunities from outside organizations on a continual basis. We have compiled a list of those scholarship opportunities and popular search websites (click link below). Check regularly throughout the year as the scholarships listed may change.

Scholarships for Undocumented Students

SRJC Foundation Scholarships, SRJC Business & Community Scholarships, and Doyle Scholarships (as well as many Outside Scholarships) are open to all students who meet the eligibility requirements, regardless of their documentation status. Congratulations! Visit our Managing Outside Scholarship Awards for information on how our office handles outside scholarship checks. 

Please note that federal financial aid regulations require that the financial aid awards you receive cannot exceed your student budget. It is possible, therefore, that outside scholarships could reduce a component of your package of financial aid awards. We may need to reduce your financial aid awards by the amount of the outside resources received to ensure that your total awards do not exceed your student budget. In these cases, the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office attempts first to reduce loan or work aid; scholarships are only reduced as a last resort.

Field-specific associations frequently offer support for education. Research directories of professional, career, and trade associations in your field.

National Merit Scholarships (for high school students)

The independent, non-profit Merit Scholarship Corporation awards about 5,000 scholarships each year. Students compete on the basis of test scores, academic and extracurricular achievements, and school recommendations. Taking the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in the fall of your junior year in high school will enter you in the competition.
